2 segmentes from Potsdamer Platz
Since 2022, two sections of the Berlin Wall have stood in front of the Dürr Dental training center in Bietigheim-Bissingen. The family-owned medical technology company, which has been in business since 1941 and is headquartered here, develops, manufactures, and distributes innovative system solutions and products for dental practices and dental laboratories around the world.
“With these two origanla pieces of the Berlin Wall from Potsdamer Platz, Dürr Dental wishes to contribute a symbolic warning against the creation of new borders and boundaries and against new human rights abuses” explains a plaque beside the segments.
The segment was designed by Romulo Kuranyi, who comes from a family of Brazilian artists (though his brother Kevin is a professional soccer player). His works are in demand worldwide.
