Location: Berliner Platz (Berlin Square)
1 segment
As a child, on his way to school, Oliver Schmidt always crossed the Berlin Square in Kassel and felt like living on the sunny side of live in contrast to GDR people. When the Wall came down, it was a drastic experience. In 2011 finally, he brought a Wall segment to Kassel with support of a few entrepreneurs – as a sign for their attachment to Berlin and as reminder for the German Division. The segment was designed by Christoph Grohmann, a Berlin based graffiti artist.
