On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall the Fondazione Democratici di Sinistra donated a Wall segment to the city of Modena. Modena celebrated the anniversary of the peacefull revolution on November 9, 2014 accompanied by an exhibition, documentaries, discussions and a live-broadcast from Berlin.
The Wall segment in the Galleria Europa in the Europe Direct center can be understood as the visible foundation of the European Union, as a symbol for freedom, democracy and justice.
