Location: 523 Madison Avenue, Jerry Speyer Building
5 segments from Waldemarstraße, Kreuzberg
The Wall ensemble in the courtyard of the Jerry Speyer Buildings is a backdrop for the guests of a burger restaurant. The segments were purchased by Jerry I. Speyer in the early 1990s. Speyer is a New York based real estate entrepreneur and co-owner of Tishman Speyer, which owns the building. The segments were originally sprayed in Kreuzberg’s Waldemarstraße by Kiddy Citny and Thierry Noir. Purchase price: 50,000 USD.
With a video project called Freedom Rocks, the everyday life of the Berlin Wall in a contemporary post-Cold War context, Vid Ingelevics and Blake Fitzpatrick, canadian artists, are trying to catch the tension between the historical context and the present:

Update: After restauration in 2015, the Wall segments were removed into the lobby for conservatory reasons.
this wall might be removed, from some review on the internet.
Why should it be removed? It’s still there…but in the lobby
