From three-year-old kindergarten to grade 12: the Atlanta International School community comprises over 90 nationalities. Language acquisition starts with a preschool program in Spanish, French and German. A large number of German speakers and families are part of the community. Due to this close relationship to Germany, a Berlin Wall segment was set up on the schoolyard on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Wall: As a symbol of the importance of the mission of our school and a reminder of what happens when international mindedness, dialogue, communication and collaboration fail, said Kevin Glass, headmaster of AIS.
