Location: Senfmühle Oldenburg
2 segments
Since 2020, two segments of the Berlin Wall have stood as a symbol of freedom of travel at the Oldenburg Senfmühle. They were set up by the travel entrepreneur Hans Höffmann, who had previously acquired and extensively renovated the mill.
The mill, which is visible from afar, is the company’s headquarters and a focal point for day trippers. “Anyone can stop here for a rest and a picnic. School classes are also welcome to come and see the pieces of the Berlin Wall.”
Above the flag of the GDR and the likeness of former US President John F. Kennedy, the segments read: Let us never forget Travel is the greatest freedom
