2 segments from Potsdamer Platz (preserved and stored)
The former Westphalien construction firm F. Probst GmbH (now: Probst Bauträger GmbH) has had a subsidiary in Berlin when the Wall came down. This firm wasn’t engaged in the dismanteling of the border facilities. But its owner, Probst sen., has bought two segments from Potsdamer Platz with certificate of origin in March 1991. The segments were sold by the VHB-Bau Vertriebs- und Handelsgesellschaft, the legal successor of the GDR firm LIMEX.
Now, the segments are preserved and stored on the premises in Oelde and are waiting for a new owner.
