Location: open-air exhibition ground
1 segment
Point Alpha, located in Hesse, was one of four American obeservation posts at the German-German frontier. After the reunification Point Alpha was rebuilt as a memorial, which provides deep insights into the period of confrontation between the Eastern and the Western bloc during the Cold War and into the painful period of German division.
Part of the extensive exhibition is a segment of the Berlin Wall, which stands on the open-air exhibition ground.
