Location: Rheindahlen, Joint Headquarters of British Forces and NATO (closed location)
1 segment
Rheindahlen nearby Moenchengladbach has been a common base for troops of the British Forces and the NATO. After the fall of the Wall, a Wall segment was set up on the military compound. A few years Rheindahlen became home to the new formed Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC) until the ARRC was relocated to Gloucester, in the south-west of England. The Berlin Wall segment was set up at ARRC’s new home at Gloucester.
The Rheindahlen base was dissolved in 2013, the area is used for another purpose.
