Due to the changed geopolitical condition as a result of the fall of the Wall, the Allies have been reorganizing their military contingences in Europe. Some bases were closed, troops pooled together in other bases.
Personal and parts of the facilities of US Air Force’s Rhein Main Base were relocated in 2005, when it was closed, to Ramstein Air Base, US Air Force’s Headquarters in Europe. Segments of the Berlin Wall were part of the removal goods.
