In May, 2018, two Berlin Wall segments were set up at the DMZ Museum close to the Goseong Unification Observatory in South Korea. The BerlinWall segments were shipped to South Korea with the organizational help of Hanns Seidel Foundation Korea. Along with other exhibits on the German division and German border, the DMZ museum will remember the history of German division and unification – a memorial for the hope of Korea for its own unification in freedom and peace.

The artwork on the segments was created by Kani Alavi. Similar works by Alavi are at the East Side Gallery in Berlin, on the segments in United Nation’s Rosegarden in New York City and as well in Wehrbleck, Germany/Lower Saxony.
