In summer 2009, three segments from the inventory of LPG Pflanzenproduktion Breesen were auctioned at the Hilton Hotel Cologne. Thereby, one of the segments came to Essen-Rüttenscheid and was set up in the front garden of a Jugendstil house. It was bought by a local estate company, and was intended as a contribution to Essen’s European Capital of Culture Year 2010. Most of all it shall be a political memorial, supplemented with a commemorative plaque.
