Berlin Wall in Bocholt

Location: Berliner Platz in front of the town hall

2 segments

In March 1995, the Bocholt citizens Bernd Roßmöller and Christoph Schares brought two Wall segments to their hometown on their own initiative and unloaded them without permission in front of the town hall. However, the two segment were officially accepted as a major symbol for West German’s contemporary history.

At last, the segments were heavily weathered. Due to the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Wall, they were conservationally treated.
